A leader in the entertainment field for over eight decades, Universal Studios is a company with a glittering history. The challenge for DRA was to create a single mark that could easily be modified for use by every member of the growing Universal family—which includes not only theme parks, but a variety of other entertainment-related ventures. Our solution was to take Universal’s motion picture “globe and name” and give it a more contemporary feel, without compromising the built-in equity of the mark. The result for the new logo was, as they say in the movie business, “a fresh take on a timeless classic.”
